–STEAM Explorations–

Our 1st-3rd grade program will showcase an exciting and engaging method to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) through active hands-on exploration.  Some topics to be covered include: an introduction to engineering and scientific thinking, the use and importance of measurements and mathematics in science, and the relationship between art, math, and science.  Using your student’s natural curiosity, we will explore a variety of scientific topics including biology, chemistry and physics principles.

–Robotics–

This camp will provide an overall introduction to robotics and building. It is suitable for all levels of experience for students entering 4th- 8th grade. Students will work in groups to build their team robot as well as learn about programming in Easy C. Teams will design, construct, test, and re-design their robots using the Engineering Design Process.  Faced with a variety of real-life challenges, they will actively develop their problem solving skills. Using their robots to conquer the challenge, students will learn the importance of thinking scientifically, teamwork, time management and the power of the Engineering Design Process. Ultimately, character and relationships will be built over the common and powerful experience of this STEM building experience.
